COMPLEMENTARY MEDICINE IN PRACTICE
HME Orthokliniek offers you advice and treatment, based on regular (House) doctor medicine supplemented by ideas and treatments from the (yet) regular recognised methods of medicine, so-called complementary medicine.
HME Orthokliniek specializes in two different ways:
1. Orthomolecular Medicine
Orthomolecular is a concatenation of "ortho" which good or correct means and "molecular" that refers to the molecules, which in our cells and in the diet. Orthomolecular medicine uses nutritional recommendations and supplements to the diet, with the aim of self-healing processes in the body to promote, support and stimulate.
2. Naturopathy
Naturopathy is based on the original medicine according to Hippocrates. Naturopathy focuses on detoxification and cleansing of the body (detox) and activates the own defence forces and healing power of man.
Self healing power (functional model)
By activating the body's self-healing capacity and adapting lifestyle, body functions can be supported and improved. Our approach is a systemic one, tailored to the patient. We summarise this in our functional model.

Chronic diseases
Our clinic often sees patients with a chronic disease, such as arthritis, autoimmune diseases, diabetes, fibromyalgia, heart disease and obesity. Chronic complaints often turn out to be accompanied by a combination of symptoms and signs. Our treatments are aimed at support for chronic diseases.
Prevention & maintaining vitality
The functional model is easy to fit to prevent & maintaining vitality. The idea is that the body, next to the signal that something is wrong, mechanisms to address the imbalance, for example inflammation/inflammation. The temporary existence of such a mechanism is often beneficial, however the chronic variant must be prevented.
By the functional model along with comprehensive Diagnostics apply at "healthy" patients can be detected at an early stage which imbalance in the body is present and be addressed. These include various studies, such as blood, urine and faeces. It is believed that the development of diseases fellow is affected by this imbalance for years. Behavior, lifestyle and diet are important components.
